The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
So, here are my goals:
- To read at least 5 hours/day
- Finish, at minimum, 6 books (listed below)
- Do one challenge per day
- Add featured images to all of my old posts that don’t have them (new theme)
- Update all of my post SEO’s
- Try to get all of my old book reviews into the UBB plugin
I plan to read the following (but no promises)
- Finish When Science Goes Wrong by Simon LeVay (completed Day 1)
- Watch How We Talk by Jennifer LoveGrove
- A Stephen King novella (recommended by Love at First Book)
- Xingu for Classics Club
- Freedom From Fear by David M. Kennedy
- I should note that grad school starts in three weeks so I will be reading a few of those books this week, too!
- One of the books I am expecting in the mail….
And that’s it! Thank you for stopping by!
