This week has been a bit crazy and also a lot of fun – my parents are in town, my sisters and best friend arrive tomorrow, and my aunt arrives on Thursday. I finally graduate with my Master’s of Public Policy on Friday and am looking forward to spending the week with friends and family. Yesterday, my parents and I headed to the Colorado Springs area to check out some old ghost towns that used to be booming mining towns. We walked around Independence, CO, hugged some mules in Cripple Creek, and poked around a good bit. The towns are both charming and tragically beautiful, but not at all ghostly. For some reason, I always thought a ghost town would be creepy but they are anything but. Below are a few of my favorite pictures from the day, but you can see the rest of the photos here.
