This past week I made online friends with Rebecca at Love at First Book. We met each other on Twitter and then brought our relationship to the next level by becoming Facebook friends. After a ton of crazy parallels in our life stories (we’re both from Florida, went to FSU and lived in Denver and Boston), we realized that for the next few weeks we are both in Denver (I just moved here and she’s about to leave). 24 hours later, we decided to meet for coffee. Turns out you can meet some of the best people online!
Naturally, I Facebook-stalked her before we actually met. I also told my husband that one of two things would happen: Either she’d be nuts and I would be home in two hours or she’d be awesome and I’d be gone all day. Needless to say, I didn’t get home until after 9 pm. After spending a few hours talking bloggy stuff over coffee, we checked out the downtown Denver area, scoured some boutiques (and saw a Christmas tree made of books!) and then headed to dinner because we realized we were having so much fun that we forgot about food.
I’m looking forward to seeing Rebecca again this week (we are going to hang out as much as possible before she leaves) and am so glad that I met her! I can confidently say that we have a future as friends, no matter where we are living.

I love that you two got to meet! I wish I lived closer because I would TOTALLY crash that party
