I can’t believe that I’ve been a legitimate book blogger for a year now! I say legitimate because while I had posted a few reviews on my personal blog before I bought this domain, they had no insight and were maybe a paragraph long.
In case you were wondering how I started book blogging, I’ll tell you. I love to read and thought about buying a domain (I already had the name picked out). I wasn’t all that serious about it but, after drinking some wine, accidentally purchased the domain and hosting for three years (in my defense, my hosting company advertised monthly fees, not a one-time payment). So, after telling my husband that I spent half of my rent money on a website, he gave me a blank stare, followed by, “Well, get off the computer and start reading then.”
And here I am. What started out as a hobby turned into a full-time job (let’s be honest – blogging is time consuming) and I couldn’t be happier. My reading choices have gotten better (a topic of debate) and I’ve met some fantastic people. To celebrate, I’m going to go out for a steak dinner with my hubby, buy my dogs some pig ears, and share with you some milestones that I’ve reached over the last year! AND I HAVE BIG NEWS! But, since this big news won’t happen until Sunday… You will have to wait until then. In the meantime, here my milestones (in no particular order):
